For 48 years this volunteer-driven event has been a Gulf Shores tradition. Food, music, art, and so much more make up an action packed weekend with nearly 250,000 of your closest friends.
Thank you to all who made the 48th Annual National Shrimp Festival a success! We had a great 2019 and will see you again October 8th - 11th, 2020!
Gulf Shores, Alabama - The intersection of Hwy 59 and East Beach Blvd.
Congratulations to artist Robert Towson on being selected as the winner of the 48th Annual National Shrimp Festival poster design contest!
This year marks Towson's third time as the winner of the contest, having previously won in 2014 and 2017. Towson is no stranger to poster design as he has also designed the poster for the 2000 Great Gulf Coast Arts Festival and the 2001 and 2005 Pensacola Jazz Festival. He is currently a board member of the Quayside Gallery in Historic Pensacola and a co-chair for Pensacola's Gallery Night.
Along with his poster being the face of the festival and being featured on various pieces of advertising and merchandise, Towson will also be awarded a cash prize of $1,000.
